Man shot at in Kamla M accused held within 2 hours

A 23-year-old man was injured after two men allegedly shot at him during a quarrel over a petty issue in Central Delhi s Kamla Market, police said Monday. The incident took place late Sunday night and the two accused were nabbed within two hours, they said. The man, Zubair, is a meat seller in the area and suffered a thigh injury in the incident. The accused -- Javed (33), a resident of Hapur in Uttar Pradesh and his associate Gulzar (27) who hails from Mustafabad -- were arrested after their vehicle s registration number was tracked down, officials said. A pistol with 29 live cartridges was recovered from their possession, police said. Investigations revealed that Zubair was on a scooter along with his friend Bilal when two persons arrived in a car. A quarrel broke out between the two parties over a petty issue and both of them allegedly started abusing each other.
