RCEP trade ministers to meet on Oct 13 in Singapore

Trade ministers of 16-member RCEP countries, including India and China which are negotiating a mega trade deal, will hold a crucial meeting in Singapore on October 13, an official said. Minister of State for Commere and Industry C R Chaudhary and senior officials from the ministry will attend the meet, the official said. The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) is a proposed free trade agreement being negotiated by 16 countries, including 10 Asean members (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Laos and Vietnam) and their six free trade agreement partners - India, China, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand, since November 2012.
