Mumbai-South Korea Biennale to be held from Oct 13-18

The first edition of the Mumbai- South Korea Biennale titled Beyond the Frames will be held from October 13-18 at the Sir JJ School of Art in south Mumbai. The biennale is jointly organised by Sir JJ School of Art, Mumbai and K-Art International Exchange Association, South Korea in association with Inko Centre, Chennai. In a statement Friday, the city s premier fine arts institution said 120 artists from Korea and 70 from Mumbai will exhibit their works, including contemporary painting, print making and abstract painting, during the biennale. These works will be on concepts related to the artists inner perceptions, cultural identity and exchange, freedom of expression and social cohesion, the statement informed.
