Have lodged FIRs where seal on illegal constructions broken: Police to SC

The Delhi Police on Friday told the Supreme Court that it has lodged FIRs in every case which was brought to its notice about breaking of seal put by authorities on premises having illegal constructions here. The police told a bench comprising justices Madan B Lokur and Deepak Gupta that there was not a single instance where the cops have refused to lodge an FIR about such an incident. The police told this to the court which was dealing with an application filed by Forum of Municipal Corporations of Delhi Engineers which had alleged that in some cases where seal were broken, the police have taken action, whereas in some similar matters no action was taken by them. The counsel appearing for the forum told the bench that he would file a list of cases where no action was taken by the police on such complaints.
